S.A.M. Overview

The S.A.M. (Stand Alone Module) Mobile Communication System provides portable access to a flexible, scalable, and reliable wireless network for voice and data. The system extends the range of our O.S.C.A.R. platform for emergency communication service by creating an auto-forming, self-healing, non line-of-site mesh network.

Each S.A.M. unit consists of our proprietary triple-band, all-in-one antenna and our GZT wireless access device. This architecture separates backbone traffic from wireless access traffic to increase network capacity. This means an adaptable configuration for the field that is specifically designed for the rapid deployment of large wireless communication networks during emergencies.

But when the focus turns from response to recovery the S.A.M. offers something others do not: These units can remain behind with an O.S.C.A.R. and be quickly integrated into a Rural Access Network (R.A.N.) that forms the basis of a permanent and powerful new telecommunications infrastructure.
